CWEEL NJ Logo

The Council on Women in Energy & Environmental Leadership (CWEEL) is a division of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and supports the role of women in the energy and environmental industries. CWEEL provides career development for professional women aspiring to leadership roles and mentorship for women pursuing technical education and careers in the energy and environmental fields.

The CWEEL-NJ Group was established in June 2023 as part of the AEE New Jersey Chapter. The group aims to build a regional network where professionals that identify as women, as well as those who support diversity in the energy and environmental industry, can network and support each other in their career growth.

ADVISORY GROUP

Elizabeth Ebinger

CWEEL NJ Chapter Lead

Elizabeth Ebinger's experience in energy ranges from workforce development, solar technical training, energy efficiency program management, and most recently with energy efficiency outreach and marketing. Outside of work, Elizabeth can be found with her family hiking, paddleboarding, gardening or learning pickleball.

Debi Rednik

CWEEL NJ National Liaison

Debi joins Solstice as the Director of Operations, having spent her entire career in the energy industry. This is her first foray into Community Solar and she is incredibly excited to bring her passions for clean energy, environmental justice, process, and business operations to the Solstice team. Debi is a “recovering” attorney, with a BA from Washington University and a JD from The George Washington University Law School (she likes schools named “Washington”). At home in South Orange, NJ (just west of the City – NYC, that is), you can find Debi spending time with her husband, kids, and 5 year old labradoodle, baking, twisted into various yoga poses, or riding her Peloton.

Emily DeHart

Communications and Outreach Lead

Emily’s degree in Environmental Policy has fueled her passion for policy work in the energy industry. Her time in developing a strong foundation of transferable skillsets from diverse perspectives has helped her understand what it takes to make strides towards positive change in the industry. On her own time, she loves photography, crafting, indoor gardening, and anything to do with her family and animals.
